![]() Create a note To create a new note, open the Stickies app and click File > New Note from the menu bar. Open it from the Applications folder in your Dock. Your new rich text field will now be available to add from the ISSUE FIELDS list. Open the Stickies app You have a few simple ways to open Stickies, depending on your preference. Navigate to your version and select Release notes, then select Formatting options. Use this field to add custom release notes to the issues in your version. Give your new field a name (for example, “Release notes”). Select Configure under the Details panel. To create custom release notes for each of your Jira issues, add a rich text field to your Jira issues: Learn more about the Jira issues macro Add a “release notes” field to your Jira issues Select Display options to adjust the columns and number of issues in your table of issues. Select the Jira issues macro table and then select the edit icon. Select Edit or type e to edit your Confluence page. To edit your release notes in Confluence: Your release notes are displayed in a table, where each of the issue fields you selected to include in your release notes appears as a column. Release notes are created in Confluence using the Jira issues macro. The Related work section in your version should now contain a link to your release notes in Confluence. Select Create in Confluence to create your release notes. Use the dropdown menu to select the Confluence space or parent page where you want to save your release notes. Go to your project and select Releases from the project menu. You can only create release notes in Confluence if you have a Confluence instance and a Jira instance on the same site. Alternatively, you can edit your release note formatting options to remove any fields that contain unsupported attributes, and then copy your release notes as markdown. You’ll only be able to copy your release notes as HTML. If your release notes document includes panels, dates, expand sections, or statuses, you won't be able to copy your release notes as markdown, as these attributes are not yet supported. Select Copy to clipboard to copy the release notes and paste them in a text file as markdown or HTML, or select Save release notes to save your release notes in the Related work section of your version. ![]() Select Formatting options to choose the fields you want to include in your release notes. Select the Version you want to generate release notes for. Go to your project and select Releases from the project menu. The purpose of this controller is to receive and return plain text (not json).
